Chief Technology Officer

Roel is the Chief Technology Officer of RedBlack Software, where he leads the continued evolution of RedBlack's best-in-class solutions. He is also one of the original founders of RedBlack, starting the company in 2006.

With decades of experience driving digital transformation across global enterprises, Roel combines strategic foresight with deep technical expertise to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative software platforms.

A seasoned product and engineering leader, Roel has built high-performing teams and translated complex business challenges into dynamic, technology-driven solutions. Before co-founding RedBlack Software, he was Chief Architect and co-inventor of the TaskServer BPM suite at Zco Corporation, enabling third-party developers to create highly customized business process automation applications. He also oversaw Zco's development operations in India.

Beyond the investment management space, Roel has designed and implemented workflow and automation systems spanning IT governance, order fulfillment, financial approvals, product lifecycle management and regulatory compliance. 

Based in India, Roel brings a deep understanding of the region's culture, policy environment, and outsourcing ecosystem, supported by a strong network of business and technology partnerships.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Roel holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The Hague University. Outside of work, he enjoys sailing, traveling the world, reading, and photography.
